Which brake pads? - September 9, 2016, 02:44 PM

Its going to be this winter, but Ive started looking at pads, in the past when OEM went out I always went Vesrah after disappointment with EBC. But there are limited options for the Z1000. I have heard that EBC is getting back to what made them famous.

Looking at:

DP HH $63
EBC HH $55
SBS Sintered $60
Vesrah JL $83
Vesrah RJL XX $103
GALFER HH $73

Thoughts, opinions?

For a streetbike?

Any should do fine, especially if you prep the rotors.

I've run EBC HH on my FZ6 and Street Triple. They've been great, no complaints on either the street or track, though I'm not threshold braking or anything.

RJL are totally unnecessary on the street. JLs work fine. You won't notice a difference except in your wallet.

Aside from a scotch brite/brake cleaner, what else do you reccomend to prep old rotors, honing? Ive been looking at getting one of these for years...
