Camera Mount - SME vs. Sportbike Cam - August 18, 2009, 09:42 PM

Ok, I got a snazy little camcorder. Its a panasonic H80 camcorder. Its small, and allows me to do other things that the gopro wouldn't.

anyway, so now I want to mount this on the bike for my lap around indy, and other general riding. I could ghetto mount it, but figured I can spend the money to get something decent.

Anyone have experience with the SME (Supermoto Engineering)?

I looked at that and the superbike cam, which MagicRat and some others have, and was wondering if anyone could give pros and cons of both or either.

Thanks in advance...

Buckshot,

3 years ago I won the annual sportbikecam.com video contest ... and they gave me a bunch of stuff along with the check.

At that time, sportbikecam.com ... WAS ... supermoto engineering. Same guys.

Point being, I didn't know they made a different mount ... cause they were really the same outfit.

Can you post a web link the the supermoto engineering setup? I Googled it w/ no luck. All I found were sportbikecam.com mounts.

Would love to know how the hard disk setup works on the bike. I've always wondered.

http://inlineperformancemag.com/esse...ra-tank-mount/

Here is a link of someone installing on their speed triple.

It looks very similar.

http://www.kneedraggers.com/details/...8--630497.html

thats a link for it being sold on kneedraggers. The pricing is 80.95, and looks very similar. I am thinking about buying mine off of Solomotoparts, since they have some other stuff i want.

Thks.

The video link wouldn't work for me.

The second link is a sportbikecam.com mount ... or copy/clone.

It is identical the two I have had. I can vouch for them ... they are awesome.
