Can't open the gas cap......... - April 25, 2010, 03:29 PM

Good afternoon,

My gas cap on my 2003 ZX-9R is stuck. I've squirted Lock-Ease into the keyhole, several times, and the only thing I've managed to do is bend the key.

Anybody got a suggestion?

Thanks!

Dave

Unbolt the cap and check the underside of the mechanism?

Make several coppies of your key so you don't need to replace it when it bends or breaks.

Try a different key? Maybe it's worn and the key isn't engaging the pins enough to spin the cylinder...

You live more in five minutes on a bike like this going flat out than some people live in a lifetime.
