when you say WHOLE thing are you saying WHOLE clutch pack..or WHOLE cluth as in springs, pressure plates, basket????....

b/c if the first of the two then replace the WHOLE cluth pack and NOT just the plates that are slipping....once you have it open might as well replace all plates....and I don't think you need to replace the actually clutch hardware itself...just the pack.

also pay attention to the indent of the steel plates if you've never done it before....

some people say they should face OUT...and some say IN....I can't remember which way mine are...thinking IN but whatever way...just make sure they are facing the SAME....oh and you need to soak the fiber plates in oil like 12hours before the job...don't just think you can put them right on out the bag like my ass did...shit I waited a full 8 hours then started the job at like 1/2AM in the morning I was so anxious....of course I broke a plate bolt around 3AM so I had to wait till the next day anyways...lol.

Prolly just need the friction plates unless the metal plates look burned up on inspection. +1 on soaking in oil over night. I know a guy who looped his R6 on the start of a race at Summit with his fresh new clutch. Hilarious how the announcer ragged him over the PA while they got the red flag squared away. Best to learn these lessons from others
