Dzus fasteners locally? - May 7, 2015, 08:04 PM

Is there a place to get them local? I just need buttons, not springs. I'm also not exactly sure what size were installed so I'd like to get hands on.

Do trackside vendors have them? Like Street & Comp? Not sure that he will be at Summit this weekend though

Do they have to be buttons? I have the other kind with the D-ring.

The "button" is the part name. You can get them with D ring, slotted (flat screwdriver), Phillips or Allen.
So as long as they are the type to use with wire retainers, YES!

Ah I see. I think mine might be different then because I don't think it uses the S-spring. It's something like this:

Hmmm.... If you wouldn't mind taking a look at your convenience it would be appreciated. The key is that they are not solid. I have no idea if there are multiple styles. Regardless of head style, the shaft should be split so the wire can go in.

Interesting. Mine are solid with no split down the middle. Dang. I have a bag of about 6 or so with the mounting tabs as well. If you decide to go this route you can have them.

Boo!
The bodywork I have (spare set) already has the wire riveted by the original owner. I will likely do more damage than good drilling the rivet out.
I appreciate the help!
