Can you post a pic of on of the cans on the bike? I can do a quick Paint shop and write-up for you.

And here is a quick thing I did when I was selling the bike... I will give you more angles of the pipes, and a small bit of the sound on an I4 litre.

How nice - the ones on my last project were TBR's too... In fact, I have a bunch of extra rivets that you can have.

I will shoot you a PM.

Here is the process that I completed with my TBR’s…

Remove cans – find a safe way to secure them (foam, towels – then place in bench vise, work-mate etc…)

Drill out old rivets on either side of the can…. I would say do the side opposite the outlet if you are only doing two-three inches so you can retain the logo. Use the smallest drill bit you can so you don’t enlarge the holes.

Mark the can sleeve and the end cap before you remove it to be sure that you can re-align. TBR does not evenly spread their holes and you need to be able line them back up to the same holes for re-drill.

Mark your amount to cut – do this several time around the can to be sure you cut the same place all the way around (or your end cap will be crooked). Align masking tape with your hash marks around the can to avoid cut damage. Use Sawzall.

Once you have cut through the sleeve and the core, use a piece of manila folder to mark the end cap and the holes. This will be your template to mark the sleeve to re-drill. Tape on the template, and drill new holes.

Rivet the end cap back in…

That was the quick and dirty…. Don’t think I missed anything…

Crap, I have worn out 2 titanium drill bits and only have 1 rivet out. This sucks.
