A few questions about my 99 ZX9......... - April 29, 2009, 02:54 PM

I am having a few issues with my bike right now and will be working on it over the next couple weeks and would like some suggestions.....

1. It is pulling very sluggish.... I plan on syncing the carbs to try and fix this problem.... I also have a stage 1 Jet Kit and a timing advancer.... Is there any attention I should pay to these two things...

2. I would like to put new brakes on.... Any suggestions of a good brand....

3. Right now I am running with Dunlop Qualifiers.... Anyone have suggestions for better tires, preferably for street riding....

4. At speeds of 100+, the bike gives a mean headshake and the motor seems to be running exceptionally harder than it should......

5. I have found a Full Muzzy Exhaust that was taken off a ZX-12 for sale... will that fit my ZX9.....

6. On my key ignition I am not able to lock the steering anymore once I park the bike... what can I do to fix this...

Any help you all can give me will be very appreciated.......

Wait - you ride at over 100 mph on the street?

*gasp*

man I will not forget that day on rt 4 when you were desperately fighting to get that headshake under control. If I recall your muffler got "decorated" that day
