HELP! track prepping bike - June 1, 2009, 10:48 PM

hey guys, so with my recent track day sign up i now need to prep my bike. i really dont have the slightest idea what all goes into it. i know i have to safety wire it, though i have no clue as to how i am going to do that. i also have to tape all my lights/gauges up, remove the fuse for them too. water wetter needs to be put in (im assuming my coolant needs to be taken out and replaced with water), and i need to get my suspension done. i think this covers most of it but if i missed anything please let me know.

as far as getting all this done before 7/6 im going to need some help...heres my proposal...you supply the knowledge/place to help me get this done and i will supply the lunch, beer, and good company. i will gladly get my hands dirty since i want to learn how to do this myself but i definitely need your help in getting this done in time.

any help is appreciated greatly and anytime is good for me.

thanks to all that can help somehow

Water wetter, go to home depot buy a clamp for your oil filter or get a K&N filter safety wire it, oil drain plug safety wire, oil filler cap safety wire, radiator cap safety wire, tape headlights and remember to remove fuse.

you don't need to safety wire or do water wetter for a track day, just buy some blue painters tape, tape over your lights and pull the headlight and brake light fuses, takes 5 minutes

Seriously ur over thinking this if doing all that makes u feel better then kev is the man! At ur pace just buy some tape and pull ur headlight fuse u don't need safety wire water wetter and ur suspension set up to do ur first trackday I meen safety wire is never a bad thing but its not mandatory untill u get faster.
