How difficult is it to take off wheels? - April 19, 2010, 08:11 PM

1.) I've never taken wheels off a bike before.
2.) Can I use my front stand that lifts from the forks?
3.) I've got a Combined-ABS system (not sure if that makes things trickier).
4.) I've got a good-enough-to-get-me-by toolbox. Will I need anything special?
5.) I want to learn how to do it.
6.) I am old enough to buy you a case of beer.
7.) Anyone want to help me learn?

1.) No time like now
2.) Yes, it's even easier w/ a pin stand
3.) Shouldn't be a biggie, just be careful
4.) You need the correct size sockets for your axle nuts or a big-ass crescent wrench
5.) Good, all you need is a little PMA
6.) Excellent
7.) Get in touch with novasquid (disclaimer: I don't know if he's available)

Takin them off is easy, it's the getting them back on that messes me up!

RIP Greg Walker, I will never forget you

If everybody thought before they spoke, the silence would be deafening
