Well you see, Norm, itís like thisÖA herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers.-Cliff Claven

Tanks are designed to let gas out at the petcock, not the cap. Does the petcock have a "Prime" position? If so, disconnect the fuel line and arrange to catch the gas in something. Then switch to prime. This will allow free flow of fuel.

If you don't have a prime position, perhaps you can remove the petcock assembly entirely. You can avoid spillage by keeping the tank upside down while you remove the petcock. Then make sure the tank is in a normal upright position sans petcock, and you should be able to drain it.

Hmmm... See Spin's recommendation above then.

Did you remove the tank and try all sorts of different positions and shaking and all that? Maybe the gas is stuck on one side away from the petcock (ha ha, Dvls! ).

Maybe a couple days out in the sun (with the cap open, of course)? Should evaporate eventually. It's very strange that the gas won't come out at the petcock (!!!). Means the tank has some "anatomical dead space." If you have an air compressor or know some who does, maybe you can blow a stream of air in through the cap to speed the evaporation.
