Keyless gascaps? - August 28, 2010, 03:38 PM

Looking into a keyless gas cap for my 09 ZX6R since the salt air is killing my stock gascap assembly. I know Vortex makes them, figured I'd ask ya'lls experience with them and if there are any other good brands I could look at.

Also, anyone know where i can get a good deal on the whole assembly? It's looking to be about $100 everywhere I found them.

Thanks,
-

I have heard mixed reviews. Track bike... sure I guee, why not?
Street bike = no lock... I wouldn't risk it.
Also, I have heard that some are not vented and that the gas can build preasure and cause a problem.

The vortex ones work great, and are vented.

The bike is parked in my garage / base. I don't ride it to go see a movie or go get coffee - this isn't a problem. If someone is really desperate enough for fuel they decide to steal my gas cap and gas, so be it. Better than ruining my key because the mechanism binds up.
