Know where to get custom cut automotive mirror? - October 27, 2010, 08:49 PM

I am working on a custom mirror project for my '10 ER6, and I need some help sourcing custom cut automotive mirror.

I had some stainless pieces manufactured that will sit between grips and weights. I was hoping to be able to polish the stainless and use it as a mirror. Didn't think about the fact that automotive mirror does some "de-magnification", aka "Object in mirror are closer than they appear"

So, now I need to find a place that will cut automotive mirror to fit my specs. Any ideas of a place in area that does this?

Some photos of the project so far:

A picture framer or glass place will do it on the condition that it's not the convex mirror for the right side. Legal reasons why they cannot.

“Any man who tries to be good all the time is bound to come to ruin among the great number who are not good. Hence a Prince who wants to keep his authority must learn how not to be good, and use that knowledge, or refrain from using it, as necessity requires”.

- Nicolo Machiavelli 1469-1527
