Lost of power - 01 gix750 - July 9, 2009, 10:50 AM

The problem may be cause my chain was loose…but while riding yesterday to the shop, the bike lost power 4 times. Once turning a corner, thought I just came off the clutch too soon, second time rounding another corner, (those two times I was able to cut it right back on). A third time it cut off while riding, I looked down at the tact and it was on zero…I squeezed the clutch and got power again, the 4th time I was gassing it down a hill and shut off completely and wouldn’t cut back on…I pulled over and it cranked right up….any thoughts on these issues?

Check the connections on the battery, make sure they are tight.

Check your side stand switch. Pulling in the clutch and suddenly everything works is a pretty good indication of a side stand switch issue.
