MR12 v U4.4 - September 23, 2011, 11:09 AM

Posted this in the Track Daze section as well but thought this may be more appropraite.

Still doing some searching around, but I'm looking at setting my track bike up to make the switch to race fuel (carb'd CBR) in prep for some WERA days next year. In the meantime I think I've narrowed it down to U4.4 and MR12. but wanted to get some pro's and con's of each. I know I don't necessarily need the higher octane rating of the U4 as I haven't up'd the CR at all, but I also heard that U4 could stay in the tank without eating up o-rings and whatnot. Secondly where in the area can you purchase either of these? Are these any others I may be missing out on that I should look into. Thanks for the info.

don't leave any race gas in the tank, drain and flush.

Arnie Hastings is a VP dealer, very well respected CCS and WERA racer, I can't remember his name on .net though, he's here though.

This place sells it but you will spend more than if you bought it while at a race weekend.
