Need advice, 2 inch scratch on Front Rim - May 27, 2009, 06:18 PM

So I have a 2 inch scratch on my front rim and I am not trying to replace it because its just not that bad. So what can I do to fix it. Its a black OEM 03 r1 rim. Its on the lip, rub against concrete when I had a little mishap what came from me getting hit 2 nights before.

I know there has to be something out there that can be used....let me know.

If it's curb rash, black permanent marker.

I can do that. I think the spray paint would probably work best...we will see. Thanks playas

Tape it well or you'll overspray and make the whole thing worse.

@ 2 inch scratch.....i didn't spray paint my rim until the damn thing looked like 4 shrapnel grenades went off next to it.

but yea spray paint and tape off well...I did my entire rim (with the tire on), sanded, primed, spray paint - came out awesome

a sharpie will work until u wash it a few times.

2 inch scratch... my advice: KEEP RIDING HER!!

Seriously, I'm sometimes perplexed why people worry about their bikes that much.... it is a consumable item and will not last forever. Just riding the fvcking thing!
