Is there a standard for bolt hole/hole spacing on rear sprockets? I am looking to go down 2-3 teeth on my rear sprocket to get my bike out of the buzz range @ 70mph and increase my overall fuel mileage. Can I just order a 45 tooth rear and be done with it?

No standard! Some model's from different maker's do swap out but not all. Get the one for your bike model. Try to go with the Stealth sprockets http://www.supersprox.com/ . They have a alum-alloy carrier with a steel outer to help with wear. If you do go all Aluminum one make sure it is hard anodized but it still will not last long. I tore mine up in 2000 miles on my DukeII.

Get a steel one made for your bike and you're done.
