Nudist - SV question - February 11, 2009, 09:15 PM

figured Nudist may be able to answer this, however if someone else knows, drop me a line.

so i was thinking about changing the headlight on my wifes sv650 naked. she doesn't like the cruiser style headlight.

anyway, i was looking at some possibilities and I like the KTM superduke headlight cluster. I think it would be pretty nice, as the sv is a bit angular. so have you compared these by chance? or you know of any other head lights that may work that are similar?

thanks in advance.

Not sure where to order it, yet, but I think the gladius headlight would nice on an older SV. I saw it on a chopper the other day and it looked pretty cool.

Personally, too hip on the superduke's. There's a yellow SV that's always parked in front of PetSmart @ fairlakes on Saturdays that has an interesting setup.

I"m not so crazy about the v-rod headlight, she wants to get away from the the vrod one. She likes some of those double lights, which is why i was thinking the superduke, however after looking at them again, i was pegging the wrong cycle.

anyway, I was thinking about a double, with one on top of the other. guess i need to keep looking to find the bike i was thinking about...

damnit...

oh and thanks for the vrod reference.

Acerbis lights are very dim and you cannot upgrade bulbs as they melt housings.

yeah, i've checked the wild hair, mainly when i had my Z1000.

Those aztecs are pretty snaz, but wife says they are too big. thought about putting the speed triples on there, I think they may be a little smaller.

I've heard about the acerbis, dirt bike lights I thought. Wasn't too crazy about the look though, and with the input on melting housings, don't know about that.

I'll check my pm's and see this hidden stash of headlights, haha.

Thanks for the input everyone, its always nice to get feedback.
