Pocketbike repair help - October 9, 2009, 01:01 PM

Any of you bike repair nerds know how to diagnose a pocketbike?

Its a blata 2.5 2 stroke mini bike.

Its been in the corner of my garage since it stopped running at the last track event i took it to in sterling at the indoor track.

Nate? boomboom?

I am pretty retarded about these things. If memory servers, the clutch was the biggest problem.

Anyone local want to come by, give it a look over and let me know what i need to order for parts.. etc?

Thanks.

centripetal force clutch.

I dont think that is the entire problem. Prob needs a good engine pull apart, cleaning..new reeds etc..

Clean the carb if it won't run.

All the gas with the ethanol has been killing anything non-fuel injected.

Boost, also I forgot the tell you that the chinese knock off's are powered by chain saw..weed wackers.

Blata and polini are the originial Euro bikes that are built specificly for the mini bikes. New ones are $$

Freaking polinis start at $1500 and can go up to $3500

Boost, try reading buddy. The blata (which I have) and the polini are not chainsaw type motors. The chinese knock off's are.

So just wondering if any of the tech guru's know how to take apart and fix up the 2-strokes..
