power commander and ignition module - June 1, 2010, 06:06 PM

Okay so I have an opportunity to buy a power commander and ignition module for my Honda f4i with slip on two brothers. Or just a power commander. Bonkers is set up for track only rnr is doing the work once I get it since I owe Rick 5$ for yellow plates.

Would it be worth it? Why or why not .

If you want to run a quick-shifter from Dynojet then you need the ignition module.

Otherwise I wouldn't bother.

Sean I have just the pc on my bike. The biggest difference I noticed was in the on/off throttle transitions, much smoother. As far as adding horsepower, my seat of the pants dyno showed no difference.

P-L Production ---> MARRC TD

Buying a sportbike to go the speed limit (which you do not do in your car) is like buying a condom to look at it.

Do you buy a condom to look at it? No you buy it to fuck.
Thank you Rossi

Flores check here and see if they have what you're looking for listed.

http://www.powercommander.com/powerc...s/Default.aspx

I tried a few different maps since the exhaust i have isnt listed until i found one that worked well according to the ass dyno. Bike could def use a trip to the rollers, but i have been tweaking the tune here and there. I only suggest making changes if you are comfortable with efi tuning. You can blow your motor if you dont know what you're doing.

accually you do not need the ingition module to run the quick shifter unless the bike has dual fuel injection which the Honda F4i does not (one set of injectors on that bike)....the reason this is because the PCIII only controls the main injectors on dual fuel injection bikes and cannot cut the fuel for the quick shifter to work....there for u need to cut the spark for quick shift....with bikes that only have single fuel injection all you need is a PCIII to run the quick shifter.....hope that helps clairify....most the newer bikes have dual fuel injection so thats why they need the ingition module...
