Power Commander/Rapid Bike - August 8, 2009, 10:48 PM

I just saw that Power Commander just came out with a Power Commander V. IS there a real big difference? I saw the new one has a Auto-Tune.

I have a rapid bike in the bike now but I need someone to build a map for it and I dont think anyone local has the program..SO I will probably sell it and get the Power Commander

AH! You can post now! GI PM'd Rob with your dilemma! Glad he could fix it.

Does anyone have the software to update a Rapid Bike??! I really do not want to buy a Power Commander. I just dont have that kinda cash (then I have to map it).

Since I dont habve the software. Its going to be about 200.00 bucks for the update on the thing plus a map (recommended of course and not on a dyno)

Jaxxx has it on his 07 750, loves it. But I'm with Oneway, you should wait for some non-tpg advice as we don't much about bikes.

from what i gather, you need the RB software to do your own mapping. If you've had it and never mapped it, you prolly just added some weight to your bonk and nothing else. If no shops have the software, i guess you'll have to buy it and let the shop use it...but if you have a computer, you could do it yourself. It appears there are no downloadable maps...unless you find someone with your same bike or something just like it where you can get a map from them.

why did you buy this italian, great britian, russian and 2 other flags I don't know shit anyway?

LOL! It came with a rack of stuff that I bought for my bike! It was previously mapped for another bike. I called rapid bike and they said that they will update it and put a map they "recommend" for my bike. They will also help me tweak the map by reading the logs.blah blah blah.

Kenny at MRP did my map on the 636 and it is spot on. I was thinking that I am just going to buy another power commander and have a custom map done again. I have way tpp many projects working right now..
