Stuffing your Exhaust - April 23, 2008, 06:13 AM

I came across the tidbit of info that you have to re-stuff your exhaust after a year and a half. I have no idea what this is, what this means, how much it costs, why I need to do it.. ETC. Im playing the hellen Keller on this one... ?

Re-packing a muffler is good to do when needed, not necessarily by year, but more by miles.

Stock mufflers you dont really have to worry about. But the fiberglass in after market mufflers eventually burns up and decomposes.

Its a fairly simple and straight forward process, and can be done for around 20-30, which includes the new packing material, and rivets if your muffler uses them.

Just repacked mine this fall.

Never heard of it and if it goes by miles, mine will never need it unless I sell her to a 'real' rider

RIP Greg Walker, I will never forget you
