ZX-6R Tail light fuse blowing up - May 24, 2009, 06:05 PM

It took the main fuse with it yesterday and today .. I didnt change the tail light(10amp) fuse and the main fuse is fine .. coming back home I tried to replace the tail light fuse and it blew up instantly .. this time the main fuse was alright! The tail light is all LED and I am clueless as to why its taking to much current to blow the fuse .. where should i start?

Unplug it. If the problem is still there its in the harness. If it goes away you have a bad tail light

my buddy was having a similar problem with his ZX 1. He kept blowing taillight fuses....it came to the point that he just carried a pack in his jacket pocket on every ride b/c one minute his light worked the next minute it didn't....

I'll hit him up to see what he did to figure it all out and reply back...but it had to do with "finding where there short was located"....

it's gonna take some work, not really a straight answer as far as I know....

What do you value more? Life or Image?
