1 Piece, Full Suit Recommendations/Suggestions (Timer & Warmers) - April 27, 2010, 11:24 AM

I know there have been a few threads on this, but they are all mostly outdated, so my situation:

I'm doing more and more trackdays, currently I have a full 2 piece suit, it works great, seems to be holding up, but I figured I'd invest in a 1 piece full suit, since I know I'll be visiting the track a lot more frequently this season and seasons to come. So I'd like to purchase a solid full 1 piece suit.

So I was wondering what some of you would suggest as far as suits, and any reasons why. I'm 6'3" and about 180 lbs, looking for something in the range of $400 to $750, links, opinions, recommendations, suggestions, rants, complaints, whatever you got, let me know.

Side note: I'm also looking into buying an Ultra-Lap Timer (or any timer for that matter that does the same job) and a set of tire warmers (180/120) in case you know of anyone, or anyplace selling them for a good deal, thanks

Spartan and Pilot make custom suits. Spartans around $650, Pilots are $1000+

sportbiketrackgear.com they give good reviews and sizing comparisons. I bought my suit from them for a great price and they often throw in extras

I have a Teknic and really like it. I was interested in Shift suits but couldnt find good sizing info. SPTG now sells them and they look sick

I am ready to meet my maker but is my maker ready for the ordeal of meeting me...

I have a Teknic Violater suit.. Been down twice and it's held up great! I would suggest it to anyone looking for a suit. They are pretty affordable too.

I'm actually looking into the same thing, I'm 6'4" 220lbs. I went on to the gixxer forums and found Tilt Leathers (http://www.tiltcustoms.com/Home.html), people seemed to be pleased with this product. I haven't ordered my suit yet, but I will probably go with them once I gather some funds. I was a little skeptical because the custom suits begins at $450. But i've found a pretty good thread that does a good job weighing the pros and cons of Tilt. The more recent posts shows improvement in quality.

Remember this is just an option, I do not have 1st hand experience with this brand.

They do customs, have a variety of options and you can upgrade the armor to T-Pro.
