anyone know much about AGV leathers? As a college student I don\'t have near the cash to afford much, but they seem pretty decent from the reviews I\'ve read and I can get the two peice Vortex suit for $392 at parts411.com.

Confusing the issue, since before you were ugly.

Back from the dead x2!

I'd like to know as well. I want to buy the AGV TLX Air Flo jacket, but wonder if anyone has any experience with AGV?

they are decent. I used to have an AGV jacket back in the day (1994! haha)

It was goat leather. Thinner, not as soft and pliable but tough as nails.

I think they still make good stuff.

I have a set of AGV two piece leathers. They seem to be of good quality, but I've yet to test the "crash abiltiy". The only problem is the fit~being that it was purchased over the internet and they were not custom. Protection wise, I'm happy.

I paid $499 in 1999 for a two-piece "Storm" suit. Crashed in it about five times in three years(racetrack only). It's still my back-up suit when I have to get my Kobe leathers repaired for the cheap-ass zippers in them.

AGV is awesome! Can't say enough good things about them. Better hip protection than many suits, and the plastic elbow and knee cups are strong. Not much of a bump on the back of the jackets. But if you need that, send it to Barnacle Bill in Atlanta. He's on the net. Tell him I sent you.

They are Great Leathers forget what the Naysayers say. I have crashed in mine twice and they did the job well and are still going.

I was just looking at the AGV Talon's. I am looking for a 2 piece suit that is vented and not a lot of people make it. AGV seems to be the only one that does! What about pricing..wheres the best place?

I love my AGV gear. I've crashed my Rage-style street jacket many times and it hardly shows.

I just crashed in my Rage leathers for the third time (at 70mph) and they held up well again. There are a few areas that could use some restitching, but I'm not afraid to crash in them again the way they are. My boots are practically untouched.

I have a racer's hook up with AGV so I can get stuff at reduced prices. So if anyone is seriously interested in any gear, let me know and I'll see what it will cost.

If you plan on doing any racing AGV leathers and boots are the way to go. AGV pays contingency in all classes and through 10th place.
