Anyone have a Tour Master Centurion suit? - October 19, 2011, 03:33 PM

I've been looking to replace my one piece winter suit since my other one started falling apart during the middle of last winter. I've been eyeing a few options and I'm about to pull the trigger and order the Tourmaster Centurion. Thought I would see if anyone on the site has experience with this item before I take the plunge.

Tommy, I know its an old thread, but I just inhereited an older version of this suit from pops. The suit works great, however the one I got is about two sizes too big for me, so air gets through around the neck area. I solved that issue by wearing my winter jacket under the centurion suit lol

Cliff notes - This suit ROCKS!

I am thinking of picking one up, right now. But I have a couple questions about sizing do they run big or small? Also how does it hold up in rain? I am not talking about really heavy rain, for that I might keep set of frog toggs with me.

Yeah I am old enough to know better. Thing is, I just don't care.

I had a tourmaster suit and hated the leg zippers on the outside part of the legs... they got stuck all the time it was terrible had to get rid of it for cheap. and it did leak in the rain, Id say save up some more and get one of the higher end suits.

look at TEIZ link plenty of good reviews on ADVrider. if you want to get in and out quick. Which I think we all do, I really like the way aerostich has the zipper from one leg all the way to the chest. If you check ADVrider classifieds often you can grab a used one for cheap... Also The Olympia Phantom is on closeout at Revzilla better executed zipper system

I have gripes about this suit but the leg zippers are one thing that work well. I think its a pretty decent suit for the money.

Sizing: I got medium at 190lbs and 5'1'' and it fit well with exception of the legs which are a little short

Rain: It will do decent in light rain but in heavy rain it sucks. Crotch and flex material at the cuffs will get wet.

The hood that rolls out of the back is great for keeping the rain from running down your neck

Firstgear Thermo One-Piece Suit - Street Motorcycle - Motorcycle Superstore

Recently got one of these. Love it in the mornings. Wear pants and a t-shirt on a 35 degree morning and am warm and toasty.

Less than half the price of the tourmaster one. Just an alternative!
