anyone using these gloves for the heat? - June 27, 2007, 10:44 PM

JR Reactor 2.0

or these, made by Shock Racing (only found a few online stores that carry them, kevlar stitching, double leather palms, etc.)

I'm leary of low-end JR stuff, heard too many bad stories. Not sure where these fall on the JR totem pole. Been looking for a short cuff to wear with the mesh jacket in the oppressive heat. I have a pair of Cortech Carbon Comp gloves, ventilated hands, but damn if my lower arms don't bake after a while. Call me a wimp, but the idea of a leather (or mostly leather) short cuff glove is sounding pretty good.

yeah, I know, that's why I have the gauntlets now. But dammit they are hot lately, even though my hands are relatively cool cus of the perf'd fingers, makes me not want to ride for more than an hour sometimes. I must be a posse. Know of any gloves with ventilated gauntlets??? lol

I have these gloves and love them!!! They run small just so you know!! I had to get XXL and I normally use XL. Air does flow thru this glove and it does have good protection giving it is not a gaulet style but there is so material going down the outside to help. If you come up to the spot look for me,KTM Duke, and you can see them.

Was on vacation, stopped in Cycle Gear in Las Vegas, walked out with a pair of these for $86 after tax (they had some nice sales going on). Frank Thomas Air Rage gloves, 'roo leather palms, little vents in the gauntlet, etc. Fit nicely. And thanks for the other suggestions, people. I tried on several A*'s while there, and they really do run a bit small, like half a size. I wear an XL, was wishing the A*'s were all between XL and XXL.

I've got a pair of those too - I'm actually trying to get rid of them though because they will not go around the cuff of my jacket, and I can't fit them under it either.
