How does it attach? The tail bag I have keep slipping off the seat and coming towards me. Does this stay in place?

You should ask to see Cam's tail bag. Very sturdy and secured so it will not move. Very nice setup.

There are 4 velcro straps. The rear straps go under your tail section, and the front two straps mount to whatever you want, usually the frame of the passenger pegs. Its extra strength velcro and the stuff does not move at all. If you crank it down it's not gonig anywhere. I rode to work twice this week and had no issues even at very high rates of speed.

Velcro straps under the passenger seat

Would fit Gaunlet Gloves, extra shield, camera, smart tag, sun glasses, rag, and room for a light jacket or small laptop (my x61 fits great)!

I don't even remove my passenger seat. The rear straps fit perfectly between the tail and undertail exhaust. Surprisingly the straps don't even melt.

And today I had a pair of dress pants, dress shirt, belt, socks, undershirt, cologne and deoderant. Then I use the net that it comes with to hold my dress shoes. That net is the shit!
