Back Protectors, Inexpensive - June 24, 2013, 09:11 AM

Thinking about getting an inexpensive back protector for a few street rides a year. Anyone have experience with these:

I think this one is made by Fox, says street though:

Motorcycle Back Protector Body Spine Mold Armor Street Sport Bike Vest L Large | eBay

This one does not have shoulder straps. Does it stay put?

Teknic 7 Link Spine Guard Back Protector (Color: Black) | Buy Clothing, Teknic, Apparel & Accessories Online

Thanks for the input.

If those don't work, I'll probably pick this one up:

That "looks" pretty much like my AlpineStars, but who knows the quality? Probably ok, it all comes down to how well built it is, hard to tell over the internet

Couldn't find it on their site, but +1 for local pickup as an option and also a testimonial and the fact you can check it out before buying!!!

Same...I didnt see it listed on the site, but the Laurel store had them. My boys pick them up friday b4 the trackday. Told them its a must for the track. One tested it out in turn 10 lol.
Its the hard back style like the Joe Rocket posted here.

And they offer military discount. I think they paid $37 after tax vs. $39 before tax non military.

I have the Forcefield L2 and its well worth it: Forcefield Back Protector Pro Kevlar L2 - RevZilla

Or if your jacket/leathers have a pocket for it and your feeling cheaper this:
Forcefield BackPad Insert Pro - RevZilla

Always get the best you can for safety gear.

Also a good read with real data:

+1 on T-Pro Forcefield stuff, they are the best for armor upgrade.

I always see the top of the line Pro Sub 4 back protector for $100 on the track forums and craigslist. Well worth it, if you consider the performance difference.

Actually I think they have them now in Springfield. I'll probably head down there today.
