Question Battery charger options - December 27, 2010, 07:56 AM

I know I got a PM from someone on .NET with an option to "Battery Tender" for a charging solution and now I can't find it.

I'm looking for at least a 3-bank charging station, could have 4 though, but I definitely don't want to pay for 5.

Motorcycle Superstore has the 4-bank Battery Tender's on sale for $224.99 right now, which isn't a bad deal.

Anyone have any other manufacturer recommendations?

Thanks.

Optimate 4 is what I use on my bikes...

Too bad, they don't have multiple outs like the Tender...

I just pick up 3 tenders...but thats because my bikes are not side by side...I have to move them, and early in the season when its cold at the track I leave mines plug in over night at the track....just to be on the safe side.

I pick up 3 tenders for $26.00 shipped each. $78 for three...

Oh and since i hook up the tenders plug wire to the battery I can now use items like Slime mini air compressor. I keep it under the seat and can plug it to the power source and plug a tire.

Amazon's got the 4-bank for $194. Hrm. Very tempting. Free shipping, too.

Think I'm going to go with the Battery Tender 4-bank'er from Amazon. (I know there's quite a few folks that are anti-Amazon, but oh well.)

I just bought this. In 10 years of riding, this is my first tender/charger.

Looks like a great option for someone with only 1 pony in the stable!

Or just swap between bikes. That's what I'm doing.

i always wondered, could you link a single charger to multiple batteries in parallel?

i guess i can answer my own question. yes, it's possible: Connecting Batteries & Chargers - Batterytender.com

Not I...
I buy a majority of my stuff from Amazon...boots, clothes, bicycle shit, motorcycle shit...I use Amazon the most out of any other site. I was just looking at my account a few days ago (buying presents) and saw that I have placed 179 orders thru Amazon since 2003.

I never ever had an issue with Amazon....never. Ebay? well thats another story lol.

I know it would involve more clutter, but why not pick up four tender jr's and a power strip and save yourself 100 bucks?
