Boots. - April 19, 2007, 01:20 AM

Anyone recommend a good boot? I need something mostly for the street but I am going to the track once or twice this year as well. I just don't want to buy something only for the track and I dont want to have problems feeling the shifter. I am willing to pay for something that is good and will last but I at least need some opinions before I shell out big money. Anyone have the icon superduty 2 boots?

You can't go wrong with the Sidi Line of boots! I have the Vertigo Corsa Air for summer riding and they are great! Not cheap but good gear costs!

Me likes my Vertigo Air. I wish I could find someone who would contact me back on a pair of Canyons.

EDIT: just checked my email Cujo came back with a great price.

Vertigo Corsa's or just Vertigo if you don't want to spend the extra $$$$

Air's are nice too... though right now I have to wear ski socks to keep from getting frost bite on my toes!

I went with the plain vertigo's...the strap on top of the foot bothers me on the corsa's...

I bought (stole) a set of Vertigo Corsas because I needed the extra ankle support. Not only do they give me more than enough support but they are also the most comfortable boot I've ever owned. Worth every penny.

Another vote for the Sidis.

I got the corsa's from www.extremesupply.com for $100 below retail. Great folks to work with.

I just got a pair of sidi vertigos last weekend. I wanted something I could use for everyday street riding and for the track as well. You can look into the alpinestars smx plus...cant go wrong with sidi or a-stars

When you decide on buying the boots, hit up Sree at 800-605-1210 or motonekoparts.com

He'll give you a bomb azz deal on them and other things as well...

I recently got Sidi Vertigo Air's and they are awesome. Very comfortable and fully adjustable. I hear Sidi and A*'s are good but I like the style of the Sidi better.

I would vote for the Sidi's if you got the change.

However I wasnt willing to spend that much bling. I picked up a pair of these:
Teknic Violator Boots

http://www.kneedraggers.com/details/...s--610362.html

Last spring when Teknic had dropped their US distributor, so I got em on the cheep.

So far they have held up well, very comfortable for a track oriented boot. The made it through a lowside at Summit Main T5 with little to show for it.

This summer I plan on getting a second pair of boots for commuting so the Teknics can avoid the daily wear and tear.
