Personnelly, I use Sidi Vert 2 race boots. Some boots may fit your feet differently. Hit the local shops and try some on.

I use the Sidi Vert II. I tested them on the track recently and they saved my ankle. I got mine on closeout at www.newenough.com

Sidi Vert II Tepor. I'm so glad I spent the extra $30 for the waterproof versions. Makes it easy to hose off the boots and keeps your feet nice and dry riding around in wet weather, and stepping in puddles at stoplights.

I have these and they are good boots,...
but I wish I had the new GP-Tech boots,....
those are the best IMO....

2002 Alpinestars S-MX Plus Racing Boots
Price: Retail $259.95, Now $235

http://www.newenough.com/boots_glove...tars_racing_bo ots.htm

BOTH of these boot feature an inner bootie,
that greatly helps to protect you feet....

the Sidi's do not have the inner bootie...

Definately the Sidi Vert 2 in that price range. Alot of riding boots kill you when your not on the bike but the Verts are hella comfortable. You can pick them up at http://www.parts411.com/acb/showprod...ctGroup_ID=279
And since they are offering free shipping, you will only pay what they are listed at without the VA sales tax.

Peace Ken
