Bilt is Cycle Gear's house brand. They use the Harbor Freight price scheme; the regular price is an inflated figure and the sales are pretty much continuous, with a few targeted items going below the sale price on occasion. To their credit many people have bought serviceable protective gear at an affordable price from them, people that would not be wearing armored pants and jackets otherwise. The stuff is not great, but FWIW you get your money's worth.

I know it's an in-house brand. Just assumed their products are made in China since the quality isn't that great. IMO you're better off buying used brand name gear than Bilt/Sedici stuff. To each his own though

Plenty of stuff is made in China or similar. I have a fair amount of gear made in various places:

TCX boots - Romania
Held Titan gloves - Hungary
RST suit - China
RSD jacket - India
Alpinestars jackets - Vietnam/China
Triumph jacket - Vietnam

I don't own any Bilt stuff, but I do own a pair of Sedici pants I use for commuting in cold weather. They've been awesome so far. Also have a pair of Sedici waterproof gloves for the cold. They've been pretty good, though the left pinky is shorter than the other glove. It's possible my left hand is bigger, but none of my other gloves fit like that.

Just saying I think they get a lot more bad press than they deserve in a culture where looks and brands matter more than some. I'm guilty of that too, though I also bought most all of my really nice gear used.

Not looking for anything. Just saw the sale... jacket and leather pants were $10 and thought I'd post it.

Hmm....they must have caught the mistake on the pants price.

I'm not telling anyone where to go shop but *IF* you go (or send someone) to CycleGear in Springfield, please ask for Donovan. I believe he said he's working on the 24th. The folks working there have to meet their sales goals numbers and he hasn't had many hours the past couple of weeks due to finals.
