Gloves & Boots *******FiNAL PiCK****** your opinions? - June 25, 2007, 08:33 AM

****EDIT****

thank you all very much I went with the the Sidi B-2 boots. Just picked them up from colemans. What a difference in weight, comfort, protection compared to the ridge waterproof Alpine*

Will be getting the A* full gauntlet gloves too

Now for helmets, I am stuck on the

HJC AC-12 Carbon
and
Scorpion EXO-700
Or
be patient for the EXO-1000!

Any comments on them???

Sorry again for the numerous questions

These are my options so far. Nothing too flashy. And I will probably be riding on only warm days. I also think I fit into a SMALL for gloves.

Opinions?

http://www.kneedraggers.com/details/...s--507594.html sufficient protection??

http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...icial%26sa%3DG

Boots

http://www.motostrano.com/alribowane.html $108 reasonable price. Do I really need more protection??

Sale Price: $85.95 nice median between the top and bottom choices

And the boots I've seen posted by everyone, prolly out of my range though.

http://www.motostrano.com/smxplus.html $279

http://www.motonekoparts.com/Sidi-B-2-Boot-p-16293.html $220

http://www.motostrano.com/siveairbo.html $275

-Thank you for your time and help. I appreciate it, god bless and ride safe

There's no such thing as being overprotected.. but if you're underprotected, you might regret it for a long long time. Spend the cash for the right gear. And get it from MotoNeko, or you'll pay too much.

I'd go with those SIDI's. I ride in the 2nd AlpineStars you posted up and I have some Jordan Rocket full knuckle gloves. Trust me, you get some air in the Alpinestar gloves.

I recommend getting full cover for your gear. Gloves that go up past your wrist and boots like the SiDi's!!

Good luck.

Colemans Falls Church has some of them. They run small on some. I had to get xxl on one pair. BTW full gautlet really sucks during a hot day in DC. If you know what the hell you are gonna be doing ,as in not hauling ass, shorty's will work and keep you cool.

Those Sidi boots in the bottom picture aren't $275 (the ones in that picture have the strap that goes across the top of the foot). The $275 pair looks just like them except for the strap.

I love my Sidi boots, and would definitely recommend them.
As far as gloves go, you're wearing them for protection - might as well wear ones that protect your wrists as well.

Just ride faster to keep cool.

Thank you all for your help I just came back from Colemans and purchased the Sidi B-2 Boots for $220 + tax.

As soon as I put them on, they were HEAVEN compared to the A*'s

Basically almost as comfortable as sneakers, wayyyy light, and very protective. The Vertigo Air were a little nicer, but I went with the B-2. They were nice enough that I didn't want to try on the expensive A*'s

Will purchase the gloves online I suppose, going with full style A* Sp-1

Now for helmets, I am stuck on the HJC AC-12 Carbon and Scorpion EXO-700
