Thumbs up HELD gloves - October 29, 2007, 06:35 PM

I recently dropped a pretty penny on new gloves.. although the initial costs of the gloves I purchased retailed at $250.00 I got them about 45% off. Thanks for the discount!

Anyways these gloves feel ten times better then anything else I have worn and although I am still breaking them in I have to say they feel great and appear to be worth the extra money.

HELD made of Kangaroo / Stingray / Kevlar

I'm sure many of you are familiar but for those of you who haven't tried them you should at least try em on.

Who knows maybe someone will get them for you for Christmas

Lucky

I found a good pic of them online...

Yeah, you left out the most important part of the post. I don't think they're worth $250, but I would try for $150. My Helimots 365 are falling apart.

Thanks for letting me check these gloves out last night. They are pretty sweet and look like they can handle a good amount of wear/tear if needed.

It was good meeting you last night as well. See you on the streets sometime.

I've crash tested my Held's at 50mph on asphalt and they were fantastic.

Doesn't look like the one's you've got have got the steel rivets in the palm (like 50 rivets spread out in a square pattern). When I wrecked I put both hands down and kept myself upright while sliding down the road at 50, but they literally burned out about 15 rivets IN EACH PALM. Look like someone took a grinder to the palms and burned off the heads of the rivets. The same abrasion burned a whole right through the leather of the Helds under my left forearm, so the leather would not have been enough.

I'm using some Icon's with the super-armor which I got a great deal on (couldn't find the Helds in Red). They're sweet but the Held's were much, much more comfortable.

I'm rambling but I guess I'm saying my vote for best glove is the Held's like yours but with the studded, riveted palms.

Ride Safe!
