Hey all,
I had my arai helmet sitting on the ground in my room and my gf accidentally dropped a paper weight type thing on top of it. Would this cause my helmet to have cracked ? Basically what i am asking is would this cause my helmet not to function properly if i were to crash? If it is ok i am not trying to go drop 300 bucks for a new helmet but if i have to do, then i will. Thanks Turtle

Unless there is a crack in the shell deep enough that it extends through it, the helmet should be intact. I cant imagine a paperweight did enough damage to crack it that bad but I suppose if it landed just right its possible.

Might be worth the $45 to get it checked out if the mark it left is significant enough.

replacing your helmet if it bangs into something is the dumbest fuckin bunch of merketing propaganda ive ever heard, its made to save your life, if it cant take a few knocks along the way its a pos anyhow, what saves you in the ALL SUPER AERO-SPACE TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED styrooam, tear a helmet apart, you got styrofoam wrapped in a plastic shell that wouldnt stop a fuuckin bee at 50 mph on its own, dropping it dont do shit unless its the shell is so fucked it has a gaping wide crevace big enough to possibly open up and uncontain your helmet and head and shit, youll be fine, but after you wreck in one it would probaby be better to buy a new one
