HELMETHARBOR.COM - wth? - September 25, 2012, 04:33 PM

I need a new helmet. I have a tiny pinhead. Got an XS Arai that I really liked but was questionable in fit. I was googling around for replacement cheekpads and/or XXS helmets and came across this one:

helmetharbor.com

Before I bothered to actually look at the website, which is very informative on fitment, I shot off a quick email to ask about pads/smaller size. Three sentences at most. The response I got from Todd was... shocking. A full 4 paragraphs on easily determining correct fit, sizing, and most interesting of all, a detailed recommendation to buy a much less expensive helmet that he doesn't even sell. I question his sanity.

Anyone that has ever shopped for a helmet knows that if you have the money and the helmet is in stock, it FITS. BUY IT. Also, many online stores won't accept sale helmets back. If it is on sale, it fits. What is he thinking?

I will be taking his advice and trying the other brand. But I will be ordering from him in the future when I can - he carries most gear and his prices aren't crazy. His concern for my brain is much appreciated. Check him out.

Do you mind posting his 4 paragraph response?

HH has always been a respected resource and retailer. When sensible, they always get my business.

I had a Shark RSR sent over from Europe before they were legally set up with a distributor here in the US.

Until then HH had only done a review prior to offering it to sale.
I needed a dark smoke visor and replacement breathe deflector which HH facilitated, bearing in mind they didn't sell me the helmet and weren't even offering sakes or support for the Shark brand as of yet.
