I think it would be distracting, especially on the track or racing... anyone actually use one of these before?

Pretty good idea, anything to keep the eyes up while riding helps. I think the guy said he's coming out with one that will have a lap-timer and other displays as well...good stuff!

The movie was a bad idea, what makes you think this will be better.

Too much of a distraction.

I think it would slow me down on the track and annoy me on the street.

Now if I had some little missiles to fire at assholes and it could be used for targeting...

We ride the legendary crotch"Rockets". Rocket being the operative word. I don't know of too many riders who care to look at the speedometers they have now (stock), let alone having it right in front of your face.

1. If a cop pulls you over for speeding it's usually not for 10 miles over.
He's usually pulling u over for something in the wreckless range. And
at that point, who cares if you were doing 100 or 115.

2. If you know your bike and your limitations you can feel how fast you
can take a turn. I don't want something smack in my face to let me
know that I'm taking a 35MPH turn at 50MPH. That may even freak
some people out.

Howerver, for some people ... that's their thing and they like them. To each his own. Personally, I wouldn't get it.

I really don't know. Part of me wants to get it just to test it out. I think I will wait until I get a newer bike first.

The unit itself needs to be refined. The HUD's in the corvettes and even in some older vehicles are great because you could turn them off at will and the diplay unit was out of the way and couldn't be damaged. This one appears to sit on your helmet, what about rain? Bugs? Flat out speed?? Looks to me like it would rip right the fuck off at a high speed. It's an excellent idea but untill the helemt itslef can project the info on the visor it will only distract you.

God Speed Jeff! You'll never be forgotten.

BOOSTZX3 : in all seriousness head injuries ain't no joke. I've had around 10 concussions and now I ride a Buell Don't let it happen to you!
