Are you planning on using it for street or track?

I have one and it fits fine under my jacket. I've used it on the street and track. I can't vouch for its fit or effectiveness compared to other back protectors, but it seems like a good one for street rides or the occasional trackday. I might get a Bohn model for next season, though, since they look like they cover more range. The Icon feels a bit small on me.

Oh, and the 'chest protection' doesn't seem like it would do much. I'm not an expert, but it doesn't feel like much and I'm not sure what kind of an impact it would protect against.

Not bad for the money.

I know of a couple of people that have it and they like. Fits under jacket no problem. They had some in stock at Colemans (Falls Church) last week if you wanted to put yours hands on one.

DeviousR6 has used one for the past two season racing CCS. He likes it.

I think it's poser gear. Impact absorbing gear is normally rated based on how much energy is disbursed but Icon provides no such info for their vests. I'm sure it's better than nothing, but if you want something that is verifyably proven to work well, check out http://highvelocitygear.com/ Read about CE ratings, etc.

WSPR uses one at the track, maybe he'll chime in.
