Leather jacket for tall people? - April 21, 2008, 05:45 PM

I've been looking for a decent leather jacket. The problem is nothing fits me very well. I'm 6'4" and 185 lbs. I have long arms. I wear a suit jacket size 46L. I've tried on various Alpinestars jackets and pretty much everything is too short in the sleeve.

Currenty I have Cortech GSX Air size XL that fits me well in the arms, but is slightly too big around my waist.

I'm looking for something plain/simple without a ton of graphics on it. Examples of this include the Tour Master Coaster II (all black), Alpinestars Black Perforated Leather Jacket, Alpinestars Spinner, etc.

If anyone has a recommendation, please let me know! I've gone to Colemans in the past, but they didn't really have what I was looking for. Any other stores in NOVA that have a decent selection of stuff to try on? Also, I don't have anything against buying used... so I've been checking craigslist.

If all else fails, Bedo's in Falls Church can alter the waist for you. I STILL need to take my leathers there to be repaired but I have heard they do great things with leather gear.

RIP Greg Walker, I will never forget you
