Leather tailor in the area? - August 2, 2009, 06:04 PM

So I've got a 1 pc Spartan custom suit but it's a bit tight in the knees and a little in the back as well. Is there a tailor in the area that could help me with this? And yes, I used search and couldn't find anything related to tailors.

I think that Lizzy Leather is up in Philly. People on here have said good things about that one. http://www.lizzyleather.com/

Steve at Bedo's does great work. He's a 3rd generation craftsman. I had mine done this spring. He took in the legs, torso and hips a little for me (I'm tall and thin). I think it was $175 total, which I don't think is bad considering the amount of stitching he had to remove and put back.

Leather cleaning - August 5, 2009, 03:44 PM

I assume Bedo's does professional leather cleaning. I bought a few years old leather off someone, it would give me piece of mind that it get washed knowing how much bodily fluid can end up in riding jackets. I wiped down the insides with antibacterial wipes as thorough as possible, the inside tag says "Do no wash professional leather cleaner only" Guess I'll call around for pricing.

I digress, he is a 4th gen craftsman.
But, yes, they do cleaning.

Ive given the guy from Bedo's suits to tailor and also to clean.

Both jobs came back better than I expected. The suit I had cleaned looked 5 years newer. I now get them cleaned there after every season to get the salt out.

Then how about you enlighten me? I searched leather tailors and didn't find anything in the first page of results that was of use to me. I really do apologize if one extra thread is that big of a deal. There are obviously some other people here that are finding the thread somewhat useful.

How do you get logos sewn on to suits. Do you design it on the computer and send it to a tailor to make. I want something sewn onto the back of my suit.

I am ready to meet my maker but is my maker ready for the ordeal of meeting me...

With Spartan, you just send him the font or picture you want on your suit and he does it.
