Need A good pair of gloves, opinions anyone? - September 10, 2008, 03:01 PM

Recently, last thursday I went down at VIR and destroyed my gloves. I had an older pair of joe rocket gpx gloves, gaunlet style and I'm looking for something similar. I would like to know what you trackday/racers use and how you like them. Thanks

Buying a sportbike to go the speed limit (which you do not do in your car) is like buying a condom to look at it.

Do you buy a condom to look at it? No you buy it to fuck.

I've got Held Phantoms. I haven't crash tested them but they seem like they are extremely durable. Only downside is that they cost a small fortune.

my spidi full gauntlet are snug and very comfortable, no crash test on those though

When I came to, the general back-alley ambience of the suite was so rotten, so incredibly foul. How long had I been lying there? All these signs of violence. What had happened? There was evidence in this room of excessive consumption of almost every type of drug known to civilized man since 1544 AD. What kind of addict would need all these coconut husks and crushed honeydew rinds? Would the presence of junkies account for all these uneaten french fries? These puddles of glazed ketchup on the bureau? Maybe so. But then why all this booze? And these crude pornographic photos smeared with mustard that had dried to a hard yellow crust? These were not the hoofprints of your average God-fearing junky. It was too savage. Too aggressive.

Thanks for all the replies. I've looked at both the A stars gp($200) and the Helds($280) Just didn't want to spend that kind of money on gloves without some kind of feedback. Looks like I'll be ordering one of the two here pretty soon. Thanks again.

I've heard that the HELD PHANTOMS are THE BEST RACING GLOVE. <---PERIOD

so....

+1 for Phantoms.

What do you value more? Life or Image?
