I hope some of you out there can help me. I bought a really nice black Vemar Merak full face helmet from England. It's Brit sport badged and is ECC helmet badged. I really need a DOT sticker for it before I can ride with it here. I am not talking about one of the Harley rider white circles with DOT in the center that everyone knows is fake as all get out but a DOT sticker that fits a modern looking vented helmet. Vemar never imported this model here and if they would have I am sure it would have been DOT approved. Please PM me if you can help me out!

Thx,

Chris

Why do you need a DOT sticker? Does someone check?

The only people that would check are the tech inspectors at a track day/race, I would think.

if it has the british standard inspection sticker, you are fine. Their standard is WAY more demanding than DOT. DOT standards is as low as a Styrofoam helmet

CE sticker on it is eqivilant to DOT.

You are fine, and do not need the DOT sticker
