The FedEx guy just dropped my new footwear to replace my 4-year old Alpinestar goretex riding shoes.

I got the Oxtar Jupiter boots which are also suede and goretex. Both are similar in style but the Oxtars have higher ankles and a leather strap to cover the laces which is even better. The sole is similar to racing boots. I imagine I'll be able to test the waterproofness tomorrow on the way home from work, just like today. About $130 shipped from Newenough.com. http://www.newenough.com/oxtar_jupit...boots_page.htm

Give a report once you break them in. I am looking for something similar...but maybe a little higher.
