Ok question for you all. I'm looking into buying leathers. Blue matches my bike (yes I know...I'm such a girl) but black seems more practical because I may not always have a blue bike. But I'm concerned that the black may be too hot. Any thoughts? Would there be much of a difference in temperature between the black and the blue?

Gun Metal looks pretty sweet!

I got blue and white as well and I am wishing I got black/silver and gunmetal just for the fact that my bikes Sharkskins may change color after every wreck. I don't think black would have stood out so much.

but if you don't have the problem and plan on keeping your bike for a while. go ahead and match it up!

and no Pleather pants... they won't hold up well in a low side. (ask woody)

Not enough difference between black and white that you'd notice. If it's a hot day, wearing leathers makes you sweat. Largely a myth that black ones will be hotter. It's especially the case for helmets. Black helmets are no warmer than white ones. Get the color you like, dude.

NOT TRUE....its a known fact that darker colors absorb more heat than lighter colors:

" Lighter colors have a greater
albedo...that is, they reflect more light. Darker colors absorb
comparatively more light. Since light is energy, an absorption would
increase a materials temperature.
Note that an object appears white if it
reflects all colors, black if it absorbs all colors. Naturally there are
gradients of color and therefore gradients of absorption. So, too, the type
of material will affect its relative heating.

I KNOW for a FACT that colors are deff. HOTTER than WHITE!
I have TWO 1-piece suits, one is 90% white (Vansons!), and the
other is a Fieldsheer, that is red/white/black (30% each) and it is DEFF. hotter!

unless you plan to go racing or do a lot of track days, I would get a 2-piece,
that way you can take the jacket off when you stop for gas, etc.

IMO: the more white, the better, and white WILL go well w/just about any
other color bike,....
