PortoGear - Anybody? - November 2, 2010, 05:55 AM

I'm looking for a decent track suit, and was wondering if anybody has experience with PortoGear?

Results for Custom Made Motorcycle Suits

Decent price, but not going to waste my money for something that is just going to shred the minute it sees pavement. Every purchase is custom made to you measurements.

I don't know much about them, but I have heard good things about Spartan.

Spartan Leathers - Premium Custom Motorcycle Leathers, Jackets, Gloves, and more!

“Any man who tries to be good all the time is bound to come to ruin among the great number who are not good. Hence a Prince who wants to keep his authority must learn how not to be good, and use that knowledge, or refrain from using it, as necessity requires”.

There is clearly some Indian factory that got into making suits and outsourcing them. My guess is that Spartian and the half dozen other recent custom-gear-for-300-bucks companies are getting their orders fulfilled at that same one factory.

There's been good reviews on this gear, but also some bad reviewed where the gear did not hold up in a crash.

Budget priced, custom leathers like this usually come out of Pakistan.
I know for certain Spartan is sending orders to and sourcing from Pakistan.

Hmm...does anybody actually have experience going down in them? I'd hate to spend 1k-1500 if I don't have to. The hides they use are 1.2-1.3mm, while Alpine uses a ~1.3mm as well.
