Thumbs up Props to Scorpion Helmets! - October 14, 2011, 05:59 PM

Last weekend, the visor retainer on my helmet broke. Not the little knob, but the retainer that holds it. I sent an email to Scorpion on Tuesday asking about a replacement base plate as I did not see it listed for a part. I got a reply that afternoon (asking for additional info). After giving the rep my specific model and mailing address, I got another email 12 minutes later saying that the replacement part is in the mail!
Great service!!! I just had to put the word out!

Nice! Scorpion makes a great product for a reasonable price. It's good to know that they back their stuff up too.

I'm on my second EXO-1000. On my first one the bottom molding melted off in a heat wave (~110) in KS last year. When I got to where I was going, I visited a Scorpion rep and told him my plight, and he immediately traded me for a new helmet. I was pretty pleased....until I rode through Death Valley (~116) a few days later and the same thing happened.

I still love the fit and functionality of the helmet, but just recommend if you have an EXO-1000 then keep it out of extreme hit. The duct tape holding it together looks pretty cool though.

Cheers

Nice. I just got EXO-900 for everyday use and I'm glad that they stay behind their product, that is great value to begin with.
Thanks for posting.

Now that is awesome! I wonder if they sent it back for R&D.
