Ride Gear Armor - September 10, 2008, 03:15 PM

What is the difference between GP and CE protection? Which one has the hard plastic shell sewn onto double density form or whatever? I'm finding a lot of jackets with the soft padding and I just don't feel as safe as I do in my cortech jacket that has the hard plastic armor. I crashed pretty good in my cortech jacket and I really hold firm to the belief that i probably would have facked up elbows more if i didn't have the hard molded armor. Comments? suggestions? answers? throw em out

Along with the GP and CE question, has anyone had any experience with RevIt brand gear? they have a kick ass online catelog and some really cool and innovative stuff. http://revit.v1retail.com/

Reason i'm asking is I'm thinking about buying their REV'IT SAS-TEC Back Protector and putting it in my jacket which is not their brand. The technology of it seems really cool and would love to use it instead of the stock crappy foam back pads. Check it out: RevIt Back Protector
