IMO Held gloves are the best period. I just bought my 5th pair of Helds. The Warm and Dry for fall weather. I do not have this glove but I have the Akra, Speed and Slide Comp. All the gloves rock. No problems and have gone down in the Akra and some of their older gloves. All have Held up, pun intended. I have been rocking Held since 1993 and never looked back. I do know of some people that have had the thread come out but I never have had anything wrong with any of mine. Total Held glove I have owned is about 15 pairs. I let my kids play with the older ones as teething toys. You can't go wrong with these.

Not sure if you are looking for a full gauntlet glove or just a really good street glove. I have 2 pairs of the Slide Comp. I bought a 2nd pair cause they stopped making them. Might even buy a 3rd pair. The glove is a shorty but with protection for the wrist bone on the outside. Still short enough to let air go into you jacket down the sleeve. Best glove for street riding or motard riding period.

I have these in blue and would buy them again in a heartbeat, especially for that price. The protection goes a lot further down the sleeve than any of the other gloves I've owned. Crash tested and they held up great.

If I got these I would always wonder about their top of their line Titans.

It is winter guys. Lots of 2010 model/design stuff will be on sale. A lot of times the first sales are usually the crappiest. Even if I was in the market, I would wait to see what happens. I bet others will follow with price cuts on current stock of Held Phantoms...

i have the Helds in blck, love them they are amazingly comfortable and have protected me in 2 get offs so far. Still look in great shape after 12k miles. Going to be picking up a new set soon for track only.

I absolutely love my Phantoms. They are supremely comfortable and feel very protective while giving great feel. I've had one lowside with them and they held up perfectly. I find them way better than my Spidi Pentas and old AGV's, and they won me over compared to the A* GP Tech's when I last went glove shopping.
