Sidi Knockoffs - April 12, 2012, 09:00 AM

So I've been looking for a pair of used boots on-the-cheap to buy so I can stop wearing my hiking boots on the bike. I ran across these Sidi knockoffs from Korea. I'm really tempted to see how these things are compared to real Sidis. Obviously all the bolt on stuff looks the same and probably is, but it'd be interesting to know how the construction of the shoe really is. Anyone know if any good shoes come from Korea? Maybe these wouldn't be too bad...lol

I'm emailing the seller for more info

I have a pair of Sidi B2's that are used that I would be willing to let go. Rode them for 3 years on the street and last year on the track and they did well.

They have wear and scuffs on them but willing to let them go for cheap. I can snap a pic tonight if you wish. I wear a 11-11.5 Shoes size and can verify the actual boot size tonight. Originally $220 new, will let go for $60

Don't buy knock off boots.

You'll be kicking yourself when they come apart in a wreck.

Buy real, name brand boots. Preferably something with a high cut and toe sliders.

All boots are going to run different sizes, so make sure you can try a pair on before buying online.

Once you know your sizes in different brands call TJ at ridersdiscount.com tell him you are from .net, he consistently will give prices better than anything Ive found.

yeah, you're all probably right. I just got excited when I saw basically new sidi vertigo's for $140. Thanks for straightening me out...lol.

Jshep: I wear a 10 for the most part...your B2's probably wouldn't fit. Thanks for the offer though.

My search continues! (I probably should buy those cortech boots and be done with it....)

I wear gardening/ work gloves in cool/ cold weather... I've wrecked in them a couple times, they hold up well.

I also wear them skiing, and they work better than some $80 gloves I've had in the past for both activities.

Kinco Gloves Pigskin Insulated w/ Knit Wrist - GEMPLER'S

Go ahead- make fun, I don't give a shit. Would I rather have my RS Taichi gauntlet gloves on for a 100+ mph crash? Sure. I also don't go railing on cold roads. I've been down in these at 40+ and still use the same pair.
