Street Leather Jackets - March 15, 2007, 10:33 AM

OK. So I am in the market for a new Street Jacket. No perforation and I ride a black R6.

Suggestions? What would you buy if you were me.

Only rules:

Leather
No Perforation
Cool

I think it is way overrated and overpriced. I will not pay 700 dollars for a leather Jacket.

They now make a cheaper jacket. It's off-shore and probably done via slave labor but... I saw them at Colemans last year. It says something like off shore partner or the like.

At the end of the day, nothing I've seen beats the fit and finish of Vanson. A few years ago my buddy had a hookup with Vanson. I got a new jacket for about 40% off. Find someone that knows a Vanson dealer.

I paid 400 for my Vanson Jacket and 300 for the pants...

Worth EVERY Penny I paid... When I thru my superhawk down the road and I slid for 40 + feet - I was not road rashed - and when I sent it to Vanson - they restitched part of the sleeve for like 15 bux and verfied that it passes their saftey tests...

While I don't advocate this process - if you want to wear a jacket that will be toast after fall - go ahead... However, I prefer something that will hold up under the worst circumstances - it's a bonus if it's still intact after the fact...
